Welcome to JMS Tech

Welcome to a brand new school year and welcome to the JMS Techlab web site.  This year looks to be a great year.  I have many things in mind for my students to learn and participate in for your 7th and 8th grader.  This year is also the first year that I have been given a sixth grade class.  These sixth graders are going to be learning some basic computer applications.

My class doesn’t require any different materials than most of your child’s other classes.  Paper, pencil, and a three prong folder are all that your student needs.  The only thing that I do require additional is that your child have a Flash Drive as shown in the photo.  The flash drive will be for students to save their work that is done on computer so that their files do not get deleted by accident.  Flash drives are sold at Wal-Mart and Staples, or any other department store that sells electronics.  Many different sizes are available but I wouldn’t recommend anything larger than a 2GB flash drive.  If your child has more than one class that requires a flash drive they may use the same drive for each class.  Please do not buy an additional flash drive as they have sufficient room to hold all of the files that are needed for many classes.
